This documentary tells the story of former Maoist combatants, conflict victims, and government officials engaging in a restorative dialogue, following the aftermath of the 10-years armed conflict in Nepal. It shows what can happen when people are able to connect with one another across divides, beyond fear, stereotypes, and enemy images. The Nonviolent Communication training including the restorative dialogue, was organized by ZFD peacebuilding advisor Jeannine Suurmond, together with partner organization Pro Public. The goal was to offer those involved with the transitional justice process in Nepal an opportunity to experience a restorative dialogue first hand. The documentary was produced in order to support the various parties to the formal Truth and Reconciliation process in Nepal and to raise awareness about Nonviolent Communication and restorative dialogue as tools for healing, reconciliation, and justice. “Director: Carolyn Davies - Lime Twist Media”

The NVC London Intermediate training programme consists of 10 days of training across the course of a year, approx one day per month. Each training stands alone, so you can attend as few or as many of the days as you wish. The trainings will be facilitated by five London-based certified NVC trainers. Each trainer is facilitating two training days from the programme. So you will be able to enjoy the individual perspective, understanding and specialism of each trainer. We hope you will enjoy the richness of the themes and trainer input that this programme offers. Intention To deepen your understanding and experience of NVC in theory and practice. Sustained input over the course of a year will support you to integrate and embody NVC more fully in your life. Pre-requisite Participants will be expected to have completed a two day foundation training in NVC, or equivalent. This will ensure a common foundation for intermediate level engagement and practice. Marshall Rosenberg created Nonviolent Communication and is Founder and Director of Educational Services for the Center for Nonviolent Communication, an international non-profit organization based in California. Dr Rosenberg talks about Teilhard de Chardin's theories of human evolution which sought to return to a more natural way - one where no-one advances at the expense of another. He speaks of his own experiences working with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and how enriching the lives of others is the most rewarding work mankind can engage in.
