I grew up in Australia and began a career in television in the mid-90s, producing and directing documentary and current affairs programmes for the ABC.
In my work I had so many different relationships to manage — people with different needs and expectations — and despite my best intentions, it was a tough gig managing the stress, keeping things balanced and moving forward.
In 2004 I discovered Nonviolent Communication and was blown away. I took it into my next TV job and saw it make a huge difference to the way I approached people and the demands I faced. I have been a passionate NVC practitioner ever since.
I moved to London in 2005 and continued to produce and direct TV programmes for the BBC and ITV, while nurturing my NVC skills alongside my media career.
In 2014 I became a Certified Trainer with CNVC — the international body founded by Marshall Rosenberg, the creator of Nonviolent Communication.
Since then I have been delivering NVC workshops and coaching to individuals and organisations across London and online. My training style is fun, participatory and grounded in practice. I believe the skills NVC teaches are not just communication techniques — they are a way of living and relating that can change everything.
I have a strong interest in bringing NVC into workplaces to deal with stress and conflict, and I am equally passionate about its application to mental health challenges like depression and anxiety.

NVC provides a clear, compassionate framework for human communication. It was developed by Marshall Rosenberg PhD and is now practised in more than 90 countries worldwide.
Notice what is actually happening — without evaluation or judgement. Separating observations from interpretations is the first step toward clarity.
Identify and express how you feel in relation to what you observe. Feelings are signals that point us toward what matters most to us.
Recognise the universal human needs underlying your feelings. When needs are met we flourish; when they're not, we suffer. NVC helps us connect to this layer.
Make clear, concrete requests that enrich life for yourself and others — rather than demands that create fear or resistance.
